WBYC COMMODORE’S WEBSITE LETTER
This is a club consisting of
people who love the water, and love to have fun and socialize. You really don't
need a yacht to belong. Our members have boats of all sizes and shapes, we are
people who participate in many functions throughout the year. From Barbecue's
at the Marina, to a day at the races , raft ups an further trips in the Long
Island Area and sometimes a little
further. A more
formal Christmas Party ends our year. Requirements are few, a first year Dues
of $ 275. and $75.00 per year after that, enjoy socializing and having fun, a
love of the water, like to Laugh , view the sunset and the sunrise over the
sea, enjoy discounts at various local merchants (check out our list on this
site) and the pride of being a member of the Best little Yacht Club on the East
Coast. So Come on and join us you won't regret it, Check out our calendar and
come to our next meeting and talk to some of the members , they will greet you
with open arms ( they may then Squeeze you so be careful) or give me a call at
516-946-7185. We are going on our 20th year now and still growing.
The primary purpose of this web page is to communicate to our members and also to introduce fellow boating friends to our club. We are now in our 20th year and will continue to strive to best serve our members and our community.
The membership requirements are as follows:
1) You must like to have fun
2) No prior boating experience
3) Pay $75.00 annual dues
4) Like to have more fun!!!
Our goals are:
1) Grow membership
2) Expand member involvement
3) Conduct seminars to educate members
4) Club cruises
5) Work to preserve our bays and estuaries
6) Cooperate and work with all government agencies and officials
to meet these preservation goals
